WHAT DOES RANDOM-NUMBER MEAN?

There's a philosophical question about what precisely "random" is, but its defining characteristic is surely unpredictability. We are not able to mention the unpredictability of only one quantity, since that variety is exactly what it is, but we are able to mention the unpredictability of the number of numbers (quantity sequence). If a sequence of
